I'm not going to put any forecasts of doom and gloom here, I am merely posting because apparently some people's friends lists are overrun with the news but mine so far has had all of two oblique references, so if you have heard all of the 'sky is falling' already, ignore me, but if you are like me and someone says something strange and you are confused: LJ has apparently laid off half their staff. With that and other things in mind, it is never a bad time to back up your journal!
