I was browsing online today and found an entire collection of cosplay themed weddings, from Star Trek to Doctor Who to Corpse Bride, and looking at all that made me ponder. I know that every girl is supposed to dream about what kind of wedding they will have and fantasize about flowers and lace, and I admit, I do love weddings. However, the idea of

One of the first thing I said to my mother about wedding...this was when I was little.
"I want a black wedding dress so I came marry Batman." (NO really that is what I said.

Then my mother very nicely told me that we cant have black wedding dresses.

I was sad. For a while.

The bride is in charge of her wedding, with input from the groom when she allows it. ;-) The trick finding someone who'll be supportive (not just tolerant) of alternative choices like that. After all, he'll be on display, too.

miss_swamp married me in a dress she'd worn in a wedding-themed production of the gay chorus where we met. It was passable, it fit, and it was free. What more could we want?

LOL, even after performing the wedding and being in the show, I always forget that the dress was from the show.
