Oh I really enjoyed this. Especially this bit:

And so it goes. Time has a curious way of moving both quickly and horrifyingly slow all at once, and the souls all gradually blur together save for the occasional face he recognises from the Pearl’s crew, none of whom are ever Jack or Barbossa.

I love that Jack and Barbossa will clearly survive pretty much anything, but THEY GO THROUGH CREW SORT OF ALARMINGLY. And I really just like the atmosphere and what it would be like to ferry the dead -- particularly when you're not exactly dead yourself.

I'm so happy that you are writing for Pirates.

I'm really glad you liked this. I was so nervous. sajdhdjahdjsd I was kept to a limit of 500 words, but I have a longer version, which includes, like, dialogue, in the works which will hopefully be done soon.

Jack and Barbossa have a frightening ability of staying alive in things, coupled with their very strong desire not to die. It's very amusing, but, yeah, I imagine they run through a lot of background crew members. ;) Will's job must get so depressing at times, especially if he actually knows some of the people he's leading through the afterlife.

>.> So far, so good, and I definitely have a lot of fic ideas brewing. XD

Well you did really well, and I'd love to read a longer version because there's just so much potential.

Seriously. Like in DMC on cannibal island? LIKE, SIX PEOPLE SURVIVE. But as long as it's not Jack, or Barbossa, or Pintel, or Ragetti...or Gibbs...or...um. Anyway, most of the time it's just funny :D

His job must get depressing. But I was just on that site I mentioned to you the other day and Terry wrote:

I don't know that I would say, "forbidden" [for Will to see Elizabeth] There might be some story to be told where Elizabeth manages to make a trip to the land of the dead, with the help of someone, etc., etc., to find Will, etc.

But the basic requirement is that Will agrees captain the Flying Dutchmen (in return for what the film reveals) and that he can step on land but once every ten years, and that at any time, if he finds a love that is true (this is part of the original Flying Dutchman opera by the way) then his attachment to the ship is broken. I just thought I'd show it to you. It's nice to know that maybe it wouldn't ( ... )
