Catastrophe and the Cure: A Doctor and Donna Fanmix

You've had your heart torn out. You've been teleported and lied to and given poisoned coffee and offered a place in a mad blue box. Say no.
Then rethink, once your world starts ripping.
Rethink real hard.
Because there is a trust in the madness. He's had his heart (one, at least) crumpled like paper ( Read more... )

The intro. That is a beautiful intro. (And works surprisingly well overtop vocal trance, which is what I'm listening to at the moment.)

I think I shall make away with the art. Yes.

The music? Keane tends to lend well to Doctor Who fanmixes. I'd have expected more songs with a harder edge (especially given the art), and then topped the whole thing up with Coldplay. But that's just me.

The hard drive is going to be reformatted any day now >.>, so I'll be passing on downloads for a bit.

Hee. I'm glad you liked the intro (that's how I want season four to start, basically).
Grr. The art is giving me problems. It's actually 350 by 350 pixels, but the *bleepity* *bleep* LJ format won't let me post it at normal size. *sigh*
EDIT: Ha! Fixed it!
Keane DOES go well with Doctor Who. I swear, 'Nothing In My Way' was made for Donna and Ten.
As far as harder edges go... Huh. I guess I don't really... when I think about it... I suppose I don't really listen to much 'hard' stuff. I did put some Coldplay in there, though. Ironically enough, the song with the most 'edge' is probably 'Poor Me.' Heh. You know it's a soft mix when a Coldplay song is the sharpest one in the bunch. XP
I think you can opt for just listening to the music. *squints* Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can choose to 'open' the file instead of saving it. (Listen to 'Mavis Said...'! It's cool.)

Yes, that's how I want season four to go.

I've only heard a bit of the...edgy stuff on the side- it's not really my usual fare, other than bands like Nightwish. "Poor Me" and "only Superstition" etc. seems to be about as...dark as Coldplay goes xD

Just wondering...is "Mavis Said..." supposed to be a .m4p file?

This is amazing because it's like the first Ten/Donna mix I've seen. So I'm totally snagging immediately. And bowing down to you for doing this.

Also, you should post this to marriedonmars. ;)

Oh and do you happen to have a zip of the whole thing?

*blushes profusely* Thanks. I was pretty baffled by the lack of Ten 'n Donna media (a few icons, a few fics, NO fanmixes), so I thought, 'Why not?' Heh. Glad someone likes it. :)
I forgot about marriedonmars. Hmm... Will do.
Also, I am ashamed to admit... Technologically inept girl that I am, I don't know how to make a zip file and post it to LJ. If I could have, I would have. Don't suppose you know how? *smiles hopefully*

Eh. It's just a personal preference of mine. I just always snag a full mix because it's just the way it's intended to be heard, as a whole and not just some songs, so that's why I asked.

Don't suppose you know how? *smiles hopefully*
It depends on whether you have a PC or a Mac. If you have a PC you have your folder with all the files, then you right-click and select something like "add to zip archive." It should zip it up for you and you upload that one zip file which contains all the files. For Macs I think you have to get a program that zips, something like Stuff-it. Not sure.

Hope that give you an idea for thinking about it for the future. I'm just gonna dl them all now. ;)
