Just had a thought, and it was a really random 3am thought. Hufflepuff mascot is a badger, but what small child could tell a badger from a wolverine, honestly? And Wolverine of the X-men has a black and yellow costume. Logical conclusion: Wolverine is a Hufflepuff

Well, I could tell a badger from a wolverine at the age of seven ;-) but Wolvie's mask looks more like a badger's face than a wolverine's anyway. So. :D
