Travelling to Australia

May 22, 2007 13:53

I am thinking of going to Australia for month of August, does anyone have any hints / tips.

I don't want cold weather so will have to head North. Ticket prices are looking very very expensive...

If anyone has any recommendations on where to go, etc then I they would be gratefully received.

Cheers

anything lower than 23, I just came back from SA which was 28 - 33 degrees...now that's what I'm talking about!

That sounds brilliant, thanks for the info!
Luckily I have a mate in Brisbon so if I did decide to go there I wouldn't be too bored!

If swimming with sting rays, wear a chest plate and don't tease the fucker.

Hey cutie!

I can't tell you anything re: north of Sydney as I only went to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. But from what friends have told me.....

Definitely make a point of watersports on the Gold Coast and diving off the Great Barrier Reef though :D

I'd also recommend a visit to an Aboriginal Music/Art centre - they have some fab galleries and performances out there :)

Hey K!

A v.good friend of mine (lovely chap called Ali) is heading out to CT in six weeks.

He's going to be working at a high-tech hospital beginning with G.

Do you have any tips on where he could hang out/get food/see gigs/go clubbing etc?
