Comment on ManderFail

Now that I've been reading through the fandom_wank info on Mr. Mander, I've been inspired to write a limerick.

There once was a fellow called Mander
Whose dealings were lacking in candour
He made secret plans
To monetize fans
But they saw through his cheap propaganda.

I have no idea about the context but I like the limerick

ETA: I see your previous post gives the context! I was reading through lj backwards.

Thank you!

Yes, I've had that problem too, when catching up on LJ because of the way it puts the most recent post first - which is fair enough, but it has its drawbacks too.

Nicely done! His nicknames in the LotR fandom (those who've had to deal with the fallout, anyhow) are Mr. Mordor and Saru-Mander...

Mind if I link your limerick to the LOTR GFIC mailing list? I am sure that there are those who will get a big kick out of it!

Thank you!

Yes, I noticed the "Sarumander" epithet in my fandom_wank reading.

Go ahead. I'm happy to spread the frivolity. (grin)

This is rather off-topic (though I like the limerick. I don't know about Mr. Mander, but I get the idea...); however,

I'm in love with your icon. Two beloved fandoms of mine, and... so apt!
