Made space to go back and read all the other bits of this universe today, so I could properly appreciate this one. :)

Delightful! *hugs fic* I do love a well-written Anya, and she plays so well off Snape. It was fun to see the beginning of their appreciating each other, through the mail.

(I don't know if I mentioned this, but my parents, yonks and yonks ago, fell in love through the mail. I have a decided weakness for said trope as a result.)

I think the story goes ... she was something like 16 when he was in Texas for his electrician's apprenticeship, and he came home once or twice for dinner with her dad because they were on the same job? So they'd met, but barely knew each other. Family liked him though, so despite the age gap they were ok with her writing letters to him when he went back to Cali for family reasons. He was gone for ... months, I can't remember, maybe a little more than a year. The letters gradually got more and more lengthy and more and more frequent. By the time he came back, they were very serious about each other; they got married the same week she graduated highschool at not quite 18. :)
