Today I spotted a t-shirt, worn by a middle-aged woman, with the following text on the back:
I must fly
husband's heart...
mr.
It's awesome in its lack of clarity (and the ellipsis sure doesn't help). My guess is a haiku about leaving one's husband.

Do haikus come in 3-3-2? I'm seriously asking, because I only know of the regular kind.

I hope S doesn't someday come home announcing the end of our marriage with an unhaiku on a t-shirt!

Could it be a mistranslation? Like how those Chinese character tattoos that people get end up meaning "shithead" or "okra" or something? As opposed to "hope" or "love" . . .
