It's "hetero" because Buck is now a man and Wendy is now a woman. In the transsexual sense, it doesn't matter what their birth gender was, but what their gender is now that determines their orientation, for all intents and purposes. Further, from the point of view of somebody that doesn't understand transexuals, it's still hetero because Buck began life as a woman and Wendy as a man.
