I enjoyed this - very Spike.

You might want to look at your last line, though, in the context of Spike's problems with flaming hands: Sam took the hand offered; lighting it.!!

Second Spike-y (sort of) story in a row too, so there may be hope for that series I was writing for you yet...

Also, stopped watching SPN at the end of S3 as I didn't like where was headed, but I loved several stories in the first two seasons, so I've sort of stayed loosely in touch with it; though I find the wincest stuff a bit...

Well, you know.
