I've read that comic and when you consider Buffy's actual age, the entire scenario (especially Buffy in that usherette costume) gets skeevier and skeevier - but she's drawn as if she's quite a bit older, or at least "of age". Thank you for reminding me she's 15!

There really isn't enough (any?) Pike-centric fic. More, please?

I do have vague ideas of introducing Pike into one or more of my Buffyverses, but I've not had that lightbulb moment until now.

Haven't decided whether Buffy's learnt what the song is about yet, but I lean towards Pike telling her before they part company, but not by this moment in their story.

I'm not sure which Pike this is meant to be as I don't follow Buffy comics - but as a Brit of a certain age the one that is stuck in my brin, and therefore in this story, is this one...

Her boyfriend in the 1992 movie (and the comics rewrite), who accompanies her out of Sunnydale to Las Vegas in the non-canon comics that take place before the series. He shows up in later non-canon comics at least once but is never mentioned in the tv series.

Worth remembering that Pike is rather like an older, slightly more competent Xander; helped Buffy after her first watcher was killed and left after the adventure in Las Vegas because he didn't want to get her killed because she was looking out for him.

They shared a room because otherwise they'd had no money for more; never had a sexual relationship, and I very carefully left it up to the reader as to Buffy's state of dress, or undress.

Personally I like to think she had a towel at least around her; also she'd been out when he'd had his bath.

She returned to Sunnydale after they parted in Las Vegas; according to the stories as they followed in the comics, as they were written while the actual show was airing (and shortly after it finished) this is when her parents had her committed for believing she was a Slayer; before they split and Joyce moved them to Sunnydale.

I tend not to follow that in my head canon, because the comics included Dawn in that story.
