Dawn's got a whole extra level of coming out to do; beyond where her friend/relation-ship with Lisa is going; got to be a terrifying prospect, telling people that their entire experience with you is invented by people neither of you will ever know, and that may have put you in danger; risking everything like that takes a level of courage, metaphor or not that people can find it hard to appreciate.
