Life moving fast...

So, my life for about the past week have been filled by clinicals. It is an amazing experience, and is possibly the only thing that I have ever done which I can visualize myself doing day after day without tiring. At least, that's how it seems right now ( Read more... )

So... you want people to die - or at least almost die - because it would be exciting, but they better not be little because that would be awkward? And on the bright side, if the hospital had to pick one set of needs to worry about I think they chose the right one. It'd be kind of exciting shipping people out of the ER still bleeding from an artery or two, but very calm. Oh yeah, completely unrelated (at least you hope), but where are you living this year?

lol, it is a weird system of thought and it has been bothering me. But it is pretty much common to all Emergency Services. When I was in Arizona a fireman asked me if I had ever seen a dead person, and upon my negative reply, assured me that they, "would see what they can do". Sketchy, hm?

And the whole pscyhology thing might bother me less if the patients got a little prompter service for their injuries. If you are dying, they can move everyone and everything in the ER to your bed in less than a minute, but if you have a broken arm you might wait hours.
