My funk is almost completely subsided. Last night was a lazy night at home, watching TV and goofing off online. I ended up in bed and asleep at 10. I regret this move now that I am back to living closer to work. I end up with 9 hours of sleep when I function better on 7 to 7-1/2. So I need to find things to do that can keep my brain and body

Have you considered volunteering? I mean, there is probably something in your area (since you're in such a HUGE metro-area) that you could help out with, or participate in.
Personally, I'm going to be going to our Michigan MS150 to set up a tent and hand out water & towels in July. That way, I'm part of this HUGE thing, and I'm not sitting on a bicycle seat for three days.
So maybe y'all don't do yours in the summer (because of the risk of heat stroke, or anything else from riding your bike for three days when it's 183 degrees), but I'm sure there's LOTS of things you can do - and you can meet not only interesting people, but actually meet people that CARE ABOUT OTHERS.
It might be a nice thing for you...
Just a thought.

It's leaving "Frisco" Saturday morning, near "Dallas North Tollway & Highway 121."
Of course, that's all in quotes since I don't have a clue of where that is, or what it means.
Anyway - here's a link to the volunteering info - maybe it's not too late!!! And, LOTS of beautiful men come to ours - ripped enough for a 150 mile bike ride, and nice enough to raise $$ for charity. I don't know about Dallas, but for the Michigan one, the MINIMUM donation for a rider is 200 dollars...and there will be 17 THOUSAND people~!!!
