An amusing incident from Sunday: I tend to show Torchwood/Doctor Who in the afternoons in the Smoking Lounge. I went down there to set up the computery stuff and found that the door was locked. I'm not exactly adverse to the idea, but I'd rather not have to deal with the thing all day.

Are you planning to molest some sheep and make parchment? Shame! Is your leg better today? Mags

No, my leg still hurts. I just didn't have to walk as much today, so it hurts a little less. I imagine tomorrow it will hurt more.
And I'm actually going to trade some papyrus with Ellen for small pieces of parchment.

Do you want me to make some more faux papyrus? What is wrong with your leg? Do you need to see a doctor? Mags

I have no idea, but it's not debilitating. If it doesn't go away soon, I'll talk to someone, but for now I'm fine.
And I think I figured out with the real papyrus didn't work (courtesy of one of my textbooks, actually; how's that for getting your money's worth out of my education?): You should have rolled them flat in position. I would imagine that maybe the first time you'd roll them individually, but after that, you should let them soak and roll them overlapping each other as though they were already paper. That way the glue will fuse them together rather than just getting watered down and not connecting to anything.
