I thought it was a lie until this chapter. But no, everything is actually as horrible as it was made out to be.

IT COULD BE WORSE.

It could turn out that Elliot's father deliberately set all of this up so that Leo-as-Glen would be bound to the Nightlay family to do as they wanted - first by Elliot himself and then by Elliot's memory, 'cause Vincent is just "I WILL TELL YOU ELLIOT'S LAST WORDS" and Vincent is totally known for his trustworthiness.

I just noticed the "oh also the Duke's dead" comment too. THAT WHOLE FAMILY IS JUST THE ADOPTED ORPHAN CHILDREN NOW. Vincent's cursed eye is working well for him...?

Man, Leo. POOR LEO. Vincent is totally skeevy and working for the Baskervilles or something but I just want him to tell Leo something that will make him not be crazy. Did Elliot even have last words or did he just die? I am so curious now.

THEY ARE. THANKS VINCENT FOR YOUR GOOD FORTUNE.

Well, he turns up in the Baskerville robes, but Vincent's motivations don't necessarily seem to line up completely with the Baskervilles? My theory is that Vincent already knows that Leo is Glen's reincarnation and has known for quite some time, and is basically going to use Elliot's memory to compel Leo to do what Vincent wants, aka "you killed my brother and ruined everything he held dear, you owe him and this is what he would want you to do". Meanwhile, the Baskervilles have no idea what's going on with it because Vincent hasn't told them and they just simply haven't seen Leo enough.

It's kind of a tragic state of affairs when camp is going to involve a lot less tragedy and heartache than his actual life.

So I caught up on pandora hearts and was totally hoping Elliot would pull a Reim and magic himself back alive.

Sob.

braaaaaaaains.

It's quite funny, as the first page apparently translates into a bald statement of "Elliot died" to make it REALLY OBVIOUS that he did.

oh and a bunch of kids did too which kind of sucked for them.

THIS IS A GOOD, CHEERFUL CANON.

CLEARLY LOOK AT ALL THE JOY LEO IS FILLED WITH

Seriously, though, Pandora hearts switches so easily from crack to trauma. I'm still surprised that the orphanage was a breeding ground for chains.

That screaming that he wants to disappear is because he is FULL OF JOY AND LOVE OF LIFE.

I just can't believe that the Headhunter arc was preceded by the chapter where Oz's uncle holds an impromptu birthday for him just to make him smile.
