I couldn't think of how to end it! I was like ... oh noes! I should have thought of that before this ill-considered pairing-off! :)

SUPERB Keppie. I loved the rhyming in the sentences! Oh golly, it was brilliant. and the silly airhead damselfly (who are the most delicious dark blue in colour!). Oh and what a lesson to us all! Pretty words and pretty speeches, never commensense us teaches!!

LOVE IT! absolutely! *HUGS* Blue.

I am leaving the poetry to the experts next week. I was up the last three night trying to rhyme "sanguine". Imagine? Doctrine? Foreign? ARRGH! And the meter never did turn out right. This stuff is hard!! I mean, I have written it, but not for some time. You have my renewed admiration! *is exhausted*!

I LOVE that icon!!!!!!!

Ask Bardi - he comes up with some winners! He sorted one for me perfectly not long ago!

Once you get into the rhythm tho, they tend to proliferate, so don't stop now, whatever you do. And it makes such an extra delight to something that was already great fun. CONTINUE!!!! Bless you. Have a nice rest now! HUGS>

You and he both write amazing things!

And you certainly must rest, but I am just starting my day. 5am, rise and shine! :D No slugabeds here!

Has a very "Alice In Wonderland" sort of feel to it.

Thank you. I love Lewis Carroll, so that is about the nicest compliment I could receive!

Also, I am loving your icon. Giggles this morning!

Sounds a bit like a night in most single's bars...only the species have been changed to protect...well I am not sure who is actually protected here. Lovely job, lovely job indeed.

I don't know, I have never been to a bar! I'm sorry you had to read this, as you and Blue are the resident poets. And yours surely outshines mine this week. I was just having fun.

Okay, here we go. I am just going to say it ...

*insert ridiculously long drum roll for maximum effect*

This was great! I know, right? You thought I would hate this because you consider it poetry, and I hate poetry. In my mind (and I know I am generalizing, and anyone who might read this will be groaning) real poetry is that stuff that superficially sounds pretty, but if you try to determine what actually happened in the story or to the characters, it is so vague and desperate to be "interpreted" that no one could actually say for sure what it is about. This has none of those qualities.

Sure this story is just a simple, lighthearted read (well, the damselfly may not agree with that descriptor), but it was fun, and I think that had it not had the rhyme and meter you set it to, it would not have been as good. I really mean that, not just trying to convince you that you made a good choice. So keep up the trying new things trend. It seems to be paying off each and every time.
