No fear... this is out of your usual style but it's great. The way the narrator keeps cajoling and trying to convince people to stay and listen to his story... I can almost see them walking away, shaking their heads and thinking about the crazy old man, assuring themselves that they'll never end up like him...

I was nervous about this. You know how it is when you have something new, and it could be received either way. I relaxed as soon as I saw your comment! Thanks for letting me breathe out in relief! (love your icon, btw! supercute!)

Oooh, that's such a compliment that you read it again! You know I'm always nervous about what I write. I wasn't going to even post it, and then I remembered your and how you had the courage to post yours when you felt the same way, so I did it. I was sure that it was all pretentious, this style, so you really set my mind at ease. Thank you for always being so nice! *squishes you*

I don't know why you worried about this. This man's voice is so unique and true that you forget it's not your usual style. It's as if you've always wrote this way.

I loved it and am a bit jealous of your ability to capture sch unique point of views.

Well, thank you very much! That's such a nice thing to say! But don't be jealous, you wrote what looks like a winner this week. GO YOU! You're on a tear this month! *high-fives you*

*blushes* Thanks... but it'll probably stop there. I'm stumped on this latest challenge.

Reminds me a little of the country song, "I Had My Moments" Sung by Emerson Drive.

Most of us knew love once. Not all of us could keep it though.

I had never heard this song; thanks for the link! I admit, I'm drawn to the angsty stuff. It's my weakness (I should branch out more!)
