This is beautiful. I love how you described George's memory loss, especially the detail of mixing his wife up with his daughter. Heartbreaking.

Amazing. The level of detail in this just pushed it to a level of its own. Great job.
So sad. I think I need a minute.

High praise indeed! I am glowing, wow! It is nice to see a fellow musician, I think we share a common bond. It must be in the genes! No matter who or where you are, if you find out you are talking to another musician, I think you could just talk forever. Never stop playing, and if you do, don't be afraid to go back to it. If you love it the way you say you do, it will always be there for you, especially the dark times.
Thanks so much for the great review! My big head won't fit through the door the rest of the day now!

I play trumpet, piano and violin. It is hard to find the time as an adult, but I still manage because it is such a cathartic outlet. I was the opposite of you; I couldn't have gotten through my teen years without it! The only reason I didn't go professional was the terrible performance anxiety; I never got over the stage fright. What do you play?

I expected this to just be a piece about a sympony or something of the sort. Someone getting through Julliard, but wow.

The way you portrayed the Alzheimer's was great. It seemed so realistic and I couldn't help but tear up there at the end. The poor guy.

Great job. Best of luck in the polls.

I love hearing I made people get weepy! To me, that's the best compliment, so I thank you very much. Thanks for taking the time to read and send your thoughts!
