*laughs* I thought of you when I wrote that summary! I still think it would have been better had I taken your advice and softened it up. Maybe I'll tool around with it over the week.

Thanks for your insight and support. I always feel better knowing you've got my back!

Thanks Edge! You know, I wasn't sure if it was too pretentious. I always worry about that.

And at the Flame, there's always a bigger bunny to be had. I won't dare count those chickens! You could well be the winner yourself!

"Rose is so kind, and I can always count on that to get me through."

This was very unsettling for me. an unnamed little seven year old with a powerful defense mechanism. you did both dark and light well.

I must admit that I was curious what you thought of this one. I didn't know if you had read it, or if you would comment. I know it is a distasteful subject matter, so I am glad that the warning didn't scare you off. I don't know how I got this story from "dewdrop, amulet"! Sometimes the muse works in funny ways, hm? I am pleased that you think I was able to write it well, even if it wasn't an easy subject. Thank you for commenting.

This reminds me of the book 'The Weight of Silence,' which wasn't one of the best books I've ever read, but it had a story similar to yours and was well-told (like yours!). I enjoyed this! Great job and good luck this week.

I have never heard of that book. I am glad to be favorably compared to skillful authors, though, and I take that as a compliment. Thanks so much for being willing to tackle a thorny subject, and for taking the time to read through it!

Thanks so much. I have no idea where I got the idea for this story when faced with those prompt words. I swear, one minute I was totally panicked, the next my muse was off and running. I hope it isn't all pretentious of me. I thank you for stopping by and checking it out!
