*Gulp*

Tomorrow I'm taking my road test to see if I can get my drivers licence, but I feel horribly under prepared. I'm only hitting my parallel park one time in four, my starts and stops aren't as smooth as I want them to be, and we're doing this test during rush hour which could be a problem if they want to see my highway driving. This may be the ( Read more... )

The bad thing about no potc fandom is not seeing you. :(

Is this your first test or the second, longer one? On your first test they won't want to see your highway driving. I doubt they'll take you anywhere too stop and go-ish, as they only have 20 minutes for the first test and all the stuff they want to see takes about that long. They want to see right and left turns, 4-way stops, lane changes and parking. You'll do one parallel park and one hill park. You also get 3 tries to do your parallel park, so don't get flustered if you don't get it right the first time.

Also, don't speed through school/playground zones. That's what failed me on my first try.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

i failed my road test 4 times in 7 years before i got it this past April...also watch out for uncontrolled intersections, creeping when stopped at a light, make complete stop at stop sign and then move forward to see if way is clear. parallel...you don't have to be perfect, just within something like 12" of the curb...also, set the e-brake after both hill and parallel. and don't rush yourself. you'll be fine. where are you taking your test? i did mine in rush hour on centre and 24th....
