after reading the first chapter, I wondered to myself "Wy doesn't she know Harry?"

I had loads of trouble with sorting out the kinks to why they didn't know each other...Harry really didn't want to cooperate.

Hehe... still loving it. I love the new version of Harry's childhood, living with Sirius and Remus. Yay! Just a comment though... you used the word "effigy" to describe the little statue of Eros, but traditionally, effigies were created with the specific purpose of being burned or destroyed as a protest, so I don't think that's the word you want to use.
