Having read the books, I'd suggest you keep watching :) I wouldn't say every decent person is murdered and every rotten scumbag triumphs, though it certainly seems that way through most of seasons 1-3. But things go as well for Daenerys as they do for anyone, a few good guys come out OK, many of the worst villains end up getting their just desserts--it's not quite as unsatisfying a narrative as it seems at the end of any of the first 3 seasons.
