Don't get me wrong...I'm happy right now. My major bills are caught up, I'm still sitting at 285lbs and have been for some 4 weeks now which I'm fine with. Heather and I are still happy, the only real thing I'm missing is a regular group of friends to hang out with, but otherwise...happy

The pull of the road... sounds familiar. I was always more a fan of leaving the country, and going somewhere, where my money would mean something. I hear that you can live like royalty in Ethiopia for next to nothing.

I've actually wondered this at times. Would life be "better" (as in would I have a better shot at things not better in the greener-grass kind of way) if I could leave and reinvent myself.

I know what you mean about regular friends. Between working, parenting/school stuff with Julie and various other family responsibilities, I have very little time to even try to have a social life. It makes me really sad. I seem to recall liking being around people.
