Previous Chapters A/N: I suck. Sorry for the lateness. Also, I can’t get an uninterrupted moment to myself while I’m home for the holidays, so this chapter isn’t as polished near the end as I’d like it to be. But it’s good enough for now.

By the time Callie rolled over later that morning, only a few hours after they had returned home from the hospital, Arizona was already long gone.
The brunette sighed as she sat up, running a hand groggily over her face. “Zona?” she called out into the empty room, receiving no reply. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a piece of paper sitting on Arizona’s pillow with her familiar handwriting on it.
Hey Beautiful,
Gone to see my dad, didn’t want to wake you. There’s coffee in the kitchen. See you soon.
-A
Callie smiled at the little heart Arizona had drawn next to the word ‘soon’. As corny as it was, she missed her already. Waking up with a warm body next to her in bed, a warm body that smelled, sounded and felt like Arizona Robbins, was the best feeling she’d ever experienced.
God, since when had she become such a cheesy romantic? She was pretty sure she used to make fun of people that were this bad. Now she appeared to be one of them. Wonderful.
Sighing in resignation, Callie stood up to pop her back with a stiff groan and padded toward the bathroom, where a nice, hot shower awaited her.
***
Arizona tried to be as quiet as possible when she entered her father’s room, a tray with two coffees and a paper bag of muffins in hand.
She immediately noticed that he was gone from the bed. Her heart leapt into her throat and she stopped short in the doorway, the worst thoughts imaginable flashing through her mind in a matter of nano-seconds. She nearly dropped the food she was holding to the floor.
“He’s okay, they’ve taken him for some tests,” Maria Robbins quickly spoke up from her spot in the corner chair. “They’ll have him back here shortly.”
Arizona visibly relaxed, heart pounding away in her chest. She looked rather pale. “Oh. Good.” She said ‘good’ as opposed to having a heart attack of her own. For just a split second, she’d been so sure that something had happened to her dad, and that she hadn’t been there to stop it.
Steadying herself again, Arizona flashed her mom a quick smile and walked over, pulling the other chair up. She peeled off her jacket and hung it over the back before sitting down. Someone had brought a small square table into the room, situating it between the two chairs, and she placed the food on top. “Coffee with cream and extra sugar, just how you like it. Er, used to like it, at least.” She had no idea if that had changed in the last few years. They had been pretty out of touch.
Arizona opened the bag of muffins and pulled out a chocolate one. She leaned back in her chair and absently picked at the top, pulling off tiny pieces and nibbling half-heartedly at them. “How did he do last night?” she asked quietly, staring intently at the muffin.
Maria released a heavy sigh as she leaned over to take a coffee from the table. Her eyes remained on the lid as she slowly rubbed her thumb along the edge of the paper cup. “It was one of his better nights.”
Arizona looked over. “That bad, huh?”
Maria sighed again. “You know your father, Arizona.” She cracked a tiny smile as she thought of her husband. “Stubborn as a mule and tough as an ox.”
Arizona shook her head with a fond smile as well. “Yet somehow he retains his ability to be an absolute charmer.” It slowly faded, and she suddenly found herself not hungry in the least. She set the muffin aside and picked up her own coffee cup.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asked after a moment, looking over at her mother in confusion. “I could’ve…helped, I-I could have-”
“You couldn’t,” Maria interrupted gently. “There’s nothing you could have changed, Arizona. Your father has a bad heart, you can’t control that.”
“I’m a doctor. I’m a surgeon. I could have…t-there’s people I know. Maybe they can-”
“Dr. Hahn is one of the best,” Maria continued. “Your father is in good hands.” She paused for a moment. “I wanted to tell you, but he refused. You have a life here in Seattle, a new job, a special woman...he didn’t want you dropping everything and flying to San Diego when nothing was going to change for a while.”
She sighed heavily once more. “We had planned to sit down with you when we were in town last month, but he saw you were having problems with Dr. Torres and decided against it.”
Arizona looked away. “That’s crap. He’s my dad. He should have told me sooner.” She slumped back in her chair, hating that she was a world class surgeon, yet she couldn’t even do anything to help her own father.
It sucked.
Maria watched her daughter's reaction with quiet observance. “It's not up to you to save him, Arizona,” she finally replied. There was a long bout of silence, and then, “You couldn't have saved Aaron, and you can't save your father.”
Arizona was more than a little shocked at those words. All of these years, all of this time...she had been so sure a part of her mother blamed her for her brother's death. For not being there to take care of him or to help him.
To save him.
“I'm sorry if you ever felt like I blamed you,” the older woman went on. “I never expected you to enlist, I really didn’t. But I was very angry and very hurt when he died. I still miss him very much.” She sat in silence for a moment before her smile returned just a little. “But I still have you.” She sighed, gazing back at her daughter. “My little girl. You’re starting a family, and I am...so proud of you, Arizona. So proud.”
Arizona was still too shocked to say anything back for a minute. She felt as if a sudden weight had been lifted from her shoulders, one she hadn’t even known was there in the first place.
“Mom…” Arizona blinked back a few tears that threatened to spill over. She couldn’t let herself fall apart again, not when her dad was still hanging in there. She needed to be strong for him, just a little bit longer.
Not trusting herself to talk without crying, Arizona reached over and grasped her mother’s hand, squeezing it tightly.
Maria laughed through her own unshed tears. She sniffed and reached up with her free hand to brush a thumb beneath her eyes. “Well then,” she mumbled as she gave the hand in her own a gentle squeeze. Her dark brown eyes were glistening. “I really am truly sorry for any pain I may have caused you over the last few years. It’s been...hard without your brother, though that’s no excuse. I’m sorry, honey.”
Arizona sniffed back and glanced down at their hands. “It wasn’t just you, mom. Losing Aaron…I couldn’t cope with it, so I left you and dad without looking back, and I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry, too.”
It felt good to be talking again. It had been quite a while since they’d connected on a deeper level, outside of civil conversation or idle chit-chat about the weather. She’d missed having her mom to talk to about her problems.
“So…you’re having a baby,” Maria said after a moment of silence. She smiled when Arizona looked over at her apprehensively. “That was just about the biggest surprise of the year. I seem to remember you telling me it was like, and I quote, ‘trying to push a frozen turkey out of your nose’. And that you’d ‘rather get a root canal in Guam in the dead of summer’.”
Arizona found herself grinning a little. “Calliope is having the baby, physically speaking. It’s something she’s wanted for a long time.” She shook her head in disbelief. “I didn’t want any of it until I met her. She makes me want everything when we’re together. She’s…amazing, mom. The more you and dad get to know her, the more she’ll blow you away. I got really, really lucky.”
Maria's smile grew. “So it seems.” She withdrew her hand from her daughter's to recline back in her seat and cleared her throat as she folded her hands over her crossed knee. “If it's not too personal,” she hedged carefully, “do you two have a donor in mind?”
Once again, Arizona was shocked by her mother's forward questioning on the subject. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, but no words came out.
“Close your mouth, dear,” Maria teased as her brown eyes sparkled. “It's impolite.”
Arizona instantly snapped her jaw shut, grimacing sheepishly. “Well…we kind of did at first. It was going to be a…friend.” She picked at the edge of her coffee cup, not really keen on going into great detail about Mark and Callie and that whole mess. “But we changed our minds, so…we’re back to square one.” She released a sigh. “We have less than a month to figure it out, and it seems like every day more stuff keeps happening and piling up. I don’t know when we’re gonna find the time.”
Maria looked contemplative as she sat there, watching her daughter and noting how exhausted she looked. “There is,” she began, pausing to swallow back, “one option I'm sure you haven't considered.”
Arizona's brow furrowed curiously. “What's that?”
Maria's smile slowly returned. “Not what, dear,” she replied, “but who.”
Arizona was completely lost now. “Huh?”
Maria laughed. “Aaron.”
Arizona once again gaped at her mother.
“Honey,” Maria chided. “Your mouth.”
This time Arizona didn’t bother closing it. “W-what…what do you mean, Aaron?” That was about the last name she had ever expected to hear leave her mom’s lips, but the older woman was looking rather amused at her floundering, so the surgeon tried to think. Still, she came up empty. “Okay, I’m missing something big here, aren’t I?”
Maria laughed again. In all honesty, she never thought this day would come. She knew how Arizona felt about having children, and even though it broke her heart to think that she'd never have a grandchild, especially after Aaron's death...
She knew her daughter, and what would happen if she ever found the one. Which, apparently, she had.
Maria's smile widened just a little. “It's a standard procedure, really. Most men that join the military at such a young age do it. I'm sure your father did, too. In case of injuries that have the potential to...limit or destroy male fertility.”
Arizona was floored by that information. “I…I had no idea.” Her forehead creased as she took in that information. “Did Lisa…?”
Lisa was her brother’s young wife at the time of his death. As far as Arizona knew, she was living back in New York these days.
“No,” Maria sighed. “She knew about it, but she’s moved on, re-married.”
The younger blonde released a heavy breath. “I had no idea,” she repeated. “Do you…really think he’d, y’know…want that? It’s not...weird or anything?”
Maria's smile softened. “He was your twin brother, honey,” she replied. “He loved you more than anything else in this world. Even the Marines, if you could imagine that.”
Arizona chuckled in return. She could feel the tears welling up behind her eyes again, but she held them at bay. “I don't think that's possible.”
“Oh, it is,” Maria replied. “You remember how our mailbox overflowed with his letters home to you?” She tilted her head at Arizona. “Your father and I were lucky if we got so much as a postcard.”
“He didn’t want to worry you any more than you already were,” Arizona said quietly, smiling a little. “God, he was such a dork. Every single letter ended with ‘Don’t forget to tape Buffy for me’.” The memory of it made her laugh. “I think I still have all those tapes for him packed away in storage. I saw the box set of DVDs last Christmas at the store and thought, for half a second, that it would make the perfect present for him. And then I remembered all over again.”
A sudden wave of emotion for her brother washed over Arizona, and she couldn’t fight the single tear that trailed down her right cheek. “I miss him so much, mom. Sometimes it’s just too hard to…” She trailed off.
“I know, honey,” Maria sighed, leaning forward to once again take her daughter's hand in her own. “He was a very good man. The best son a mother could hope for.”
Arizona smiled a little as she reached up with her free hand to swipe at the tear rolling down her face. “He was a kickass twin brother, too.” Both women shared a comfortable laugh at the memories.
“I know he wants you to be happy, Arizona. And I know what he'd say about your little problem if he were here right now.”
This was definitely something Arizona hadn’t seen coming, but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t pleasantly surprised. “I’ll talk to Callie,” she finally stated after a moment, looking over at her mom with shining blue eyes. “See how she feels about it.”
***
Wanting her father to get some rest after returning from his tests, Arizona left him and her mother alone for the time being.
She was dressed in regular clothing and had no plans to don any scrubs that day. Derek was a good friend and had immediately told her to take as much time off as she needed. Stopping by the Peds desk to check on patient results was a habit though, and as she flipped through a chart she found she could barely concentrate. She needed to talk to her girlfriend. Pulling out her cell phone, Arizona sent a quick text.
Are you awake yet? I need to see you. I promise I’ll make it worth your while.
As she sent off the message, it occurred to her that that last part came off sounding a little…dirtier than she had intended. She was thinking more along the lines of buying Callie lunch if she made the trip down to the hospital.
Chuckling, Arizona pocketed her Blackberry and went back to the chart. A few seconds later, her pocket buzzed with the alert of a new text message. Her lips turned up in a little smirk as she shifted her weight and then reached for it again. She produced her phone, glancing down at the screen as she clicked a button with her thumb.
I have no doubt you'll make it worth my while.
PS- Your ass looks fine in those jeans, Robbins. Remind me to make you wear them more often.
Arizona looked up and quickly turned around.
Callie was standing a few feet away, a wide, knowing smirk on her face as she stood clad in her signature black leather jacket and dark-stained jeans.
Arizona dropped the phone back into her pocket and tucked the chart she was reading back into its holding spot. “Hey, gorgeous. Fancy seeing you here,” she teased, walking forward the few steps until she reached Callie. Grabbing the lapels of her jacket, Arizona tugged her into a light ‘good morning’ kiss. “I missed you.”
“Mmm,” Callie groaned as her smirk grew. “You too.” She reached down with her right hand to place it on the curve of her girlfriend's hip, pulling her in a little closer. “Missed waking up next to you,” she added as her fingers slipped just beneath the material of the blonde's black shirt. She groaned appreciatively, fingering the silky material between her index and thumb. “When did you get this?”
“Recently,” Arizona chuckled. “After you destroyed the last one.” According to the brunette, it ‘wasn’t coming off fast enough’, which had lead to much stretching and tearing of said shirt. Hence the reason she’d purchased another one.
Callie grinned sheepishly, clearly remembering that day.
Arizona couldn’t stop from grinning a little giddily herself. “I have to talk to you about something.” She gave another small tug on Callie’s jacket. “But not here. On-call room?”
Callie slowly smiled. “You sure about that?” she asked in a husky whisper, leaning in nice and close. “We don't exactly do a whole lot of 'talking' when we're in one of those.”
Arizona instantly blushed as she glanced over her shoulder. Not that anyone had heard, but still. “I can behave myself if you can,” she said with a smirk.
“I make no promises,” Callie replied a little smugly.
Biting her lip, Arizona looped an arm through Callie’s and steered her down the hallway. “You are so bad. What am I gonna do with you, hm?”
Callie chuckled as she allowed herself to be lead away. “I have a long list of things you can start off with, and from there you can just get creative.”
***
As soon as Arizona shut the door to the on-call room behind them, she felt Callie press up against her back and bury her nose into the crook of her neck.
A smile made its way onto her lips, and she brought both hands up to cover the ones that circled around her waist. “Missed you in the shower this morning. You looked so peaceful, I didn’t want to wake you up.” She leaned back in Callie’s arms. “Are you feeling a little better today?”
Needless to say, they had both been happy the night before to forget their issues with other people and get lost in each other. Her dad’s health problems and Erica Hahn’s return weighed heavily on both of their minds, but a mental break had definitely been necessary.
Sleep was scarce these days, but Arizona felt better rested after the light cat nap she’d managed to sneak in before heading back to the hospital. Even if it was punctuated with the occasional bit of sex. She wasn’t about to complain.
“Don't wanna talk,” Callie husked into Arizona’s ear as she pulled her hands from the blonde's waist to slowly slide them up her body. “Just wanna feel you.” She pushed her hips forward, pinning Arizona against the door. Her lips moved down to kiss along the smooth, warm skin of her throat as her right hand squeezed over top of a firm breast.
God, she loved that shirt.
Arizona’s resolve almost faltered completely. Why was it so hard for them to be in a room alone together and not have any sort of self-control? She blamed Callie. That woman was just too sexy to resist, and she knew it. Not to mention they were also both too willing to allow sex to distract them from their real problems. It was fun and much more satisfying.
“Calliope,” she sighed softly, a small moan escaping the back of her throat. The sensation of those lips burning across her skin made it nearly impossible to think straight. “Wait.” Her voice came out weak and not very resolved. She bit her lip when Callie’s hand kneaded her breast again, and those perfect hips pushed her even more flush up against the door.
Ignoring Arizona’s feeble protests completely, Callie let out a little groan of desperation before quickly dropping to her knees. She reached up with her right hand to push the tight black material of Arizona's shirt up from the waistband of her jeans. She leaned in and kissed the newly exposed flesh along the small of her girlfriend’s back, trailing her tongue up along the base of her spine.
Arizona dropped her head forward against the cold door with a heavy breath. “Calliope…”
That woman was really not making it easy to do the talking thing she had been planning. They had a lot to talk about, after all.
But…
Arizona shivered as Callie’s fingertips traced over the sensitive skin on her side. She was also well aware of the other hand running over her hip and down the length of her thigh.
Callie suddenly jerked hard on Arizona’s hip. “Turn around,” she husked as she pulled away from the small of her back.
Arizona didn’t so much turn around as Callie did it for her, then roughly shoved her back up against the door. She groaned again and dropped her gaze to watch her girlfriend’s fluid movements.
Callie's hand pushed the front of Arizona's shirt up over her thick belt buckle. She growled softly at the sight of the lean, flat stomach hidden just beneath the material. “So sexy,” she whispered before closing her eyes and leaning in to suck at the warm skin just to the left of the blonde's navel.
Arizona felt her knees weaken and barely managed to hold herself up. Callie’s lips burned along her skin in the best possible, most amazing way. She dropped both hands to run along her girlfriend’s shoulders. “Love this jacket,” she murmured in a low voice, husky with her arousal.
Callie reluctantly pulled her lips away from her lover's body and reached up with a shaking right hand to brush her fingers along her stomach, slowly tilting her head back to glance up.
Arizona met Callie’s gaze through hooded eyes, barely able to keep them open. Her girlfriend knew how sensitive her stomach was and used it to her advantage whenever she got the chance. It wasn’t fair.
She released another low groan in the back of her throat. “You’re all kinds of sexy, Calliope Torres…set-the-fire-sprinklers-off kind of sexy.” She quirked a tiny grin downward, running her fingers back through soft, unruly dark curls.
Callie returned the grin and watched as her fingers continued to run along the smooth, milky skin beneath the blonde’s shirt. “Arizona?” she called softly.
The blonde smiled through her lustful gaze. “Yeah?”
“No more talking.”
Any more arguments Arizona might have had up her sleeve were immediately foiled when Callie shot back to her feet and pulled her into a heated kiss.
Talking could wait.
***
“I’m serious, Callie,” Arizona protested, somewhat weakly, as she staggered down the fifth floor hallway with Callie’s arms wrapped tightly around her waist. “You keep…distracting me. We need to talk.”
Callie ignored Arizona’s words and tightened her hold as she pressed in close behind her while they stumbled together. “You keep saying talk,” she husked against her ear, biting down on it gently. “Don’t wanna talk. Wanna fu-“
“Calliope!” Arizona giggled as she was pushed roughly up against Mark Sloan’s door. “You’re gonna make me crazy, woman,” she sighed in exasperation, though as she turned around to face her partner she immediately pulled her into a deep kiss.
Because as much as she really wanted to talk to her about what her mom had said, Callie’s ‘distractions’ were working. And their little ‘quickie’ in the on-call room wasn’t enough for either of them.
Arizona moaned into Callie’s mouth and pulled her in closer, both hands curling around the back of her head.
Callie smiled into the kiss as she slipped her right hand down to the blonde's hip. She brushed her fingers teasingly along the hemline of the tight black shirt. Callie growled beneath her breath as she pushed her knee between Arizona’s legs, pushing her hard back into the door.
“Callie,” Arizona warned again with a grunt, eyes rolling back into her head at the hard throb that shot up from between her legs.
It was like the first two months of their relationship all over again. They couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other for very long. It was hard, passionate, amazing and...everything, all at once.
It thrilled Arizona to no end that they’d been together for so long already and were still just as crazy about each other as they were on the first date. Moreso, even. She didn’t think she could be faulted for not having it in her to resist the come-ons of a woman such as Calliope Torres. She was only human, after all. Having lost her once before, she was happy to physically rejoice in the fact that they’d found their way back to each other.
“Mmph,” she moaned into the brunette’s lips. “Callie…we can’t have sex against Mark’s door,” she chuckled in between kisses.
“Why not?” Callie growled, grinding into Arizona roughly one more time.
The blonde’s eyelids fluttered and it took a lot of willpower to keep them open.
A door down the hall opened, and after a few seconds they both heard the sound of jingling keys.
Reluctantly, Arizona pushed Callie back, immediately mourning the loss of contact. She felt as if she was on fire again, but she didn’t want their neighbors to see them going at it like a bunch of teenagers.
Callie grabbed her keychain and jammed Mark’s key into the door, opening it up and then playfully pushing Arizona over the threshold.
Arizona grabbed Callie’s jacket and tugged her inside right after, snickering as they barely managed to close the door behind them.
***
Lexie suddenly froze from her place on Mark’s bed. She glanced back over her shoulder where he hovered over top of her back with a low, heavy breath. “Did...did you hear that?”
Mark sighed. “What?” he growled in frustration as he kissed along the back of her shoulder.
Lexie frowned at the closed bedroom door. “I-I thought I heard-” She jumped when Mark suddenly ground his hips down against her ass, causing her voice to get caught in her throat.
“Lex, you’re killin’ me here,” Mark growled, tightening his hands against her slender hips. “The only thing I wanna hear is you moaning my name so loudly the neighbors complain. Again.”
Lexie once again glanced back at him, smirking just a little. She kinda liked that she had the power to drive Mark crazy like that.
“Nevermind,” she murmured as he pulled her into a heated kiss.
***
“He’s not even here,” Arizona pointed out with a sigh as she glanced around Mark’s empty apartment. “We should just come back later. I’m sure he’ll be back from whatever random skank’s house he’s at before noon. We can take him to his ‘I’m sorry you’re no longer a baby-daddy’ breakfast then.” She couldn’t help but smirk. “I’m sure his appetite will be bigger after all the manwhoring, anyway.”
“Hey,” Callie shot back as she glanced over at her girlfriend and then back around the empty apartment. “That happens to be my friend you're calling a manwhore.”
Arizona lifted a pointed eyebrow.
Callie frowned at her again. “Well, okay,” she relented with a slight shrug of her shoulders, “but that doesn't mean you should say it out loud.” She shook her head just a little. “You still kinda hate him, don't you?”
Arizona crossed her arms and tried for a nonchalant shrug. “I don’t hate him,” she stated evenly, though Callie continued to stare at her. Her shoulders sagged a little. “Hate is a strong word. He mildly annoys me, I’ll put it that way.” She paused. “I also have the strong urge to kick him in the groin every time he opens his mouth and words come out.”
Well, maybe not every time. Just whenever he said something to try and get under her skin. Which was…often. Plus, there was the whole thing where he felt the need to constantly remind her that he used to fuck Callie upside down and sideways whenever they both had that itch that needed scratching. Arizona gritted her teeth just thinking about it.
Callie smirked, chuckling to herself as she moved to make her way through the living room and down the hall, toward Mark's bedroom. “You’re cute when you’re jealous.”
Sighing, Arizona reluctantly followed. “Look, the door’s closed. If he’s home, he’s probably still got her in there,” she pointed out as Callie reached for the handle and started to turn it.
“I doubt it,” Callie replied. “He’s probably just sleepin-” Brown eyes immediately shot open. “Oh my God!”
Right next to Callie, Arizona stopped short inside the door and her jaw dropped. “Oh my God!”
Lexie’s head shot up as Mark slammed into her one more time before they both froze up. “Oh my God! Get out!”
Arizona immediately slapped a hand over her eyes. “Oh God! We’re sorry!” She bumped into the doorframe in an attempt to turn away, rebounding backward a step.
Mark grunted hard when he felt Lexie squeeze around him tightly as she jerked in surprise. He wasn't as mortified as her, for the obvious reasons. He was Mark, after all. All he cared about at the moment was his cock and Lexie Grey reacquainting with each other.
Provided the two lesbians in the doorway got out of his apartment sometime soon.
Callie remained rooted to the spot, dark eyes wide as she continued to just stare in shock and a bit of amusement.
“Out!” Lexie shouted again, throwing an elbow back to slam it into Mark’s gut, trying to dislodge the big oaf as he hunched over her back. She was talking to the two intruders, but suddenly found herself less than pleased that Mark was just…staying where he was, waiting patiently.
Arizona groped blindly for Callie, tugging hard on her arm with one hand while the other tried to keep her eyes covered. “Callie!” She smacked into the door frame again when she tried to go around her girlfriend.
“Mark,” Lexie growled as she pushed at the man's hard stomach. This was already terribly embarrassing enough. The last thing she needed was for him to drag it out any longer than necessary. But he just wouldn't pull out.
Arizona pulled her hand from her eyes to glance back over her shoulder. She wasn't exactly sure why, but she just couldn't seem to stop herself. Like a disastrous train wreck, impossible to not stare at, even just once.
A fact that she instantly regretted as her eyes widened. “Won't make it better!” she suddenly shouted as she noticed Lexie’s hand pushing at Mark's stomach to dislodge him. “Won't make it better!” Her hand flew back up to cover her eyes as she quickly jerked back around to face the opposite direction.
Callie was still blinking with wide eyes, looking thoroughly amused. “Hi guys. What’cha doin’?”
Lexie finally hit Mark hard enough that he grunted and pulled out. She instantly dove over the side of the bed, pulling the quilt down with her and burying herself underneath it as she collapsed on the floor.
“Callie!” Arizona smacked her girlfriend in the arm before shoving her backward out of the room, bulldozing her motionless body until she could slam the door shut behind them once more.
From beneath the blanket, Lexie moaned pitifully and pulled it tightly around her body.
Mark sighed and dropped down into the bed.
Perfect.

“Ew, ew, ew, I just saw Mark Sloan’s penis,” Arizona shuddered as she and Callie entered their own apartment. Callie still hadn’t said a word other than to giggle relentlessly, and the blonde rounded on her as soon as the door closed behind them. “Will you stop smirking and say something? I’m completely mortified and need someone else to freak out with me!”
Callie blinked and jolted a little when Arizona reached out to gently shove at her side. “I just saw Mark Sloan's penis,” she repeated her girlfriend's words, and then paused. “Again.” She snickered.
Arizona's eyes widened a little as she just stared back at her in disbelief. “That’s all you have to say? ‘Again’?”
Callie's brow furrowed, completely oblivious to the look. “Were they just...?” She glanced back over her shoulder before turning back to face her lover once more. “Do you think they-”
“Oh no! I am not thinking!” Arizona’s hands flew up to grip at the sides of her head. “La-la-la, not thinking, didn’t see anything, didn’t notice anything, do not want to know.”
Shuddering one last time, she started to strip off her jacket. “Since when are those two boning again?” She tossed it and her purse onto the couch before moving into the kitchen. She grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and started to open it as she turned back to Callie.
But the brunette was still rooted in place, frowning at the closed apartment door. “Since when is Mark having sex with Lexie again?” She turned to face Arizona, a little miffed that he hadn’t told her about it. He told her everything.
Arizona arched a slow brow just as she lifted the water bottle to her lips. “Uh, hello? Same exact question I just asked you.”
Callie shook her head, shrugging and moseying into the living room. “He wanted me to do that once,” she suddenly blurted before she could stop herself. “We'd done just about everything else under the fucking sun.” She paused with a slight tilt of her head as she smirked in amusement. “Literally.” She was still more than a little amused that Mark had got Lexie back into bed again. She knew it was just a matter of time. Those two crazy kids belonged together.
Arizona’s hand inadvertently seized around the water bottle just before it touched her lips, crushing it with surprising strength and soaking herself with the majority of its contents. Whatever she didn’t dump on herself she choked on, hacking away as water filled her lungs instead of her stomach.
Callie's eyes widened even more. “Oh! Shoot.” Her feet moved faster than even she knew they could go as she darted around the end of the counter. She walked right up to her girlfriend to pat her on the back in an effort to ease her choking.
Arizona wheezed as she coughed water out of her lungs. Her eyes stung as she tried to breathe through each hack.
Eventually the coughing fit calmed down, and the blonde dropped the mostly empty bottle into the sink. “For the love of god, woman, please never, ever talk about Mark Sloan trying to get you to…” She grimaced and closed her eyes, her hands tightening their hold on the edge of the counter. “Or anything else you may have done.” She could only handle so much.
Callie laughed through her sudden nervousness. “You know I didn't mean it like that, honey.” She figured she better try to save her sorry ass now rather than later. She was still kinda tired from last night. And this morning. And pretty much every other night this week.
Her brain wasn’t working right. She usually knew better than to even joke about her previous sex life. Especially when it came to Mark Sloan.
“Mark and I used to have sex,” Callie suddenly blurted. “A whole lot, and pretty much any and everywhere we could.”
Crap. She hadn’t meant for it to come out quite like that.
Arizona looked over with a sharp glare. “Is that supposed to help right now, Torres?” she spat dangerously.
Callie raised a hand, trying to shield herself from the laser beams Arizona was shooting through her. “I'm just stating a fact,” she argued gently. “I'm stating a fact about my past that I can't change.” She paused. “I used to have sex with Mark. Key word here being used to...and I can't change that.”
Callie took a slow, cautious step towards the blonde as she reached out with her now shaking hand. “But I can swear to you now that the only person I ever wanna have sex with again is standing right in front of me.”
Clearly, she had missed Arizona’s point completely.
“Oh my God, Callie!” Arizona threw her hands up in exasperation. “I know you used to have sex with Mark! That doesn’t mean I want to hear about it from you every time you open your mouth!”
Seriously. That woman had a mental defect when it came to the casualness between her and Mark Sloan. Those two never really seemed to get why she and Lexie had such issues with their ‘friendship’. Jesus H. Christ.
Growling under her breath, Arizona grabbed the crushed water bottle and slammed it into the garbage can. This was not making it easier for her to try and reconcile with Mark. Not at all. She kind of just wanted to crush his head like a grape and be done with it.
Callie's eyes widened even more.
Okay. Wrong tactic, then. Check.
“Zona, wait,” she called softly as she reached out for the blonde once more.
“Don't touch me,” Arizona mumbled as she jerked her arm away just before Callie's hand made contact.
“Hey,” the brunette whispered as she moved in to press her body right up against her lover's back. She wrapped her arms around the small, firm waist despite Arizona's attempts to wiggle away. “I'm sorry,” she murmured as she reached up with her left hand to pull Arizona's gorgeous blonde hair back from her neck. She instantly leaned in to attach her lips to the warm flesh. “I'm sorry,” she whispered huskily again. “I'm an idiot.”
Arizona ground her teeth, but her efforts to pull away ceased. “Yes,” she agreed in a huff. “You kind of are.”
She wanted to stay angry. If not angry, then annoyed with a hint of pissed off, at the very least.
But…
Arizona closed her eyes as Callie’s lips continued their soft kisses along her neck. “I’m still peeved,” she stated out loud, feeling that it needed to be said, even though she was quickly melting back into Callie’s arms.
Dammit.
Callie didn't let up in the soft, gentle kisses against her girlfriend's neck. “Noted.” She moved her lips a little higher up as she reached down to tug on the thick black leather belt around Arizona's waist. Callie's hands worked in sync to pull open the buckle and slide the leather through. She didn't waste any time as she moved to the button and zipper on the front of those jeans.
Arizona was a goner, and she knew it. She grunted softly as Callie’s hips nudged her roughly up against the counter, and a hand suddenly slid down the front of her pants.
“That’s cheating,” Arizona groaned, jerking her hips back into her girlfriend’s as expert fingers grazed against her center.
Callie smiled as she kissed her way up to Arizona's ear. “No,” she whispered hotly as she brushed her thumb hard against her lover's clit. “This is cheating.” She suddenly pulled back, smirking at the sudden, harsh gasp that spilled from Arizona’s lips.
The brunette dropped her hands to those perfect hips, quickly spinning the blonde around before slamming her back up against the counter. She instantly dropped to her knees in front of Arizona as her hands roughly jerked the tight pants down over her hips.
Callie groaned softly as she leaned in, pulling the pale blue panties down just enough so that she could latch her lips onto the inviting sight of her lover's already wet pussy.
Arizona’s mouth gaped open a little as both hands gripped tightly against the counter. It was barely enough to keep her from pitching over in surprise.
And lust.
“F-fuck, Calliope…” She exhaled a harsh gust of air and closed her eyes. Callie’s tongue hadn’t wasted a single second in seeking out her clit, and it was already making her dizzy.
“Definitely cheating,” she murmured underneath her breath, biting her lower lip.
Callie moaned as she slipped both hands around the bare skin of her girlfriend's hips to squeeze the firm flesh of her ass, pulling Arizona harder into her mouth. The cold, hard kitchen tile was biting into her knees with only the thin material of her jeans between them and floor, but she couldn't really give a damn at the moment. Not with the taste of her girlfriend so heavy on her tongue as she stroked the blonde's clit in long, languid motions.
It seemed 'Torres' had a method of her own. One that Arizona liked very, very much.
It’s not like the first thing on Arizona’s mind after walking in on Mark and Lexie screwing was ‘have rough, awesome sex in the kitchen’. The plan had been to boil her eyeballs in sulfuric acid, actually.
But this was much more…fun. She liked it when Callie made things up to her.
Arizona grunted softly and rocked her hips forward into Callie’s mouth, her arms shaking as they gripped the kitchen countertop behind her.
Callie smirked to herself as she briefly wondered if Arizona was still mad at her. Judging by the soft gasps and moans and the quick, hard jerks in the blonde’s hips, she doubted Arizona even remembered what she was supposed to be mad for.
Plan B, successful.
Callie groaned as she pulled back, licking her lips as she glanced up to meet the deep blue eyes staring right back down at her.
God...those eyes.
“Don’t stop,” Arizona protested, her hips rocking forward again when Callie’s hands squeezed her ass once more. “S-stopping is bad.” For good measure, she threw a pout down in her girlfriend’s direction, attempting to use her dimples to her advantage.
Arizona had come to find that pouting at Callie did a lot in her favour.
With another sigh, she peeled her right hand away from the counter and reached down to brush a strand of hair behind Callie’s neck, just wanting to touch her in any way she could.
Callie sighed as the skin on the back of her neck prickled the instant her lover's gentle, warm hand made contact. There wasn't much about Arizona that didn't turn her on.
“Not stopping,” she finally husked as she swallowed back, her gaze never leaving Arizona's as she slowly leaned back in. Her eyes closed at the last possible second before her lips once again made contact with the warm skin of the blonde's stomach.
Arizona’s breath hitched in her chest, and her stomach muscles twitched at the teasing contact. Those lips had the power to make her weak in the knees and melt on the inside. Whether she was feeling them against her skin, her own lips, or…anywhere else Callie might use them.
Her fingers tangled themselves into Callie’s thick, gorgeous hair. Arizona longed to burying her nose into the crook of the woman’s neck and breathe in that familiar scent of shampoo and laundry detergent that mixed just perfectly with Callie’s naturally yummy scent, enough to make her swoon all the more.
But, that would have required moving from her current spot, so she didn’t.
The brunette's fingers loosened in their grip against her Arizona’s bottom as she continued to kiss her stomach, loving how the muscles beneath jumped and hitched with every soft touch of her lips.
No wonder she was so in love with Arizona. She was just so much fun to make love to.
“Scoot down a little,” Callie suddenly whispered as she pulled her lips back from the blonde's flesh. She gently tugged on her hips.
Arizona leaned more heavily back against the counter and allowed Callie to pull her down a little further, though it was difficult with her pants still around her calves.
The second she felt her girlfriend’s lips suck against her clit once more, her right hand spasmed and shot out to grab at the countertop, knocking over a bunch of spice shakers that were sitting out. Several rolled off and crashed against the floor and into the sink, but Arizona barely even noticed.
She was otherwise occupied at the moment.
“Oh God, Calliope,” she moaned, closing her eyes as a fresh flood of wetness rushed between her legs.
Callie growled as she pulled Arizona’s sex harder against her mouth. She flexed her fingers against the soft flesh beneath them as she worked her tongue in harder, shorter strokes. She paused, pulling back to suck in a much needed breath as she finally removed her left hand to reach around to the front of the blonde's body.
Dark brown eyes shifted up to lock onto the hazy blue gaze as Callie slowly slipped two fingers inside her pussy.
It was all Arizona could do to hold Callie’s stare. All she could do to stay conscious. “F-fu…” she half-moaned, blinking to try and break through her haze. “O-okay…I almost forgive you,” she said while shooting a cheeky grin down at her girlfriend.
Callie leaned in to suck the blonde's clit back into her mouth. She slowly pumped her digits in a steady rhythm, curling them forward ever so slightly. She paused in mid-suck to stick out her tongue and slowly brush it along her lover's sensitive clit.
That time, Arizona’s eyes did roll back into her head. “Uhh-ghn…”
It was more of a strangled syllable than a word, but it was the only sound she could make.
Callie didn't let up as she licked and thrusted with everything she had. She was gonna make it up to Arizona one way or another.
It wasn't long before the brunette heard the familiar hitch in her lover's breath and then felt the thighs surrounding her begin to quiver.
Callie had been with her girlfriend long enough to know what they both meant. She clamped her lips down hard against Arizona's clit, sucking and stroking with her tongue as her fingers slowed the pace to an almost complete stop. The tips of her fingers pressed into the blonde’s inner walls, massaging in place.
Just how she knew Arizona liked it.
A sharp gasp erupted from Arizona’s lips, and it only took a few more seconds before her release flooded through her.
Finally.
“Calliope,” she moaned desperately, struggling to hold herself upright. Both arms strained and shook with the effort of bracing herself against the counter, and her leg mobility was restricted by the pants pulled halfway down her calves.
Somehow she managed to keep from collapsing, and Callie’s soft tongue strokes kept her shaking as she came hard into her mouth.
Oh, it was so on.
“Bedroom,” Arizona gasped sharply. “Now.”
***
A short time later, it was Callie’s turn to groan as she pushed at the questing fingers between her legs. “No,” she whined as she weakly thrashed on the bed. “C-can't...can’t come any more.”
It was with great reluctance that Arizona pulled away, giving Callie a chance to breathe. Giving herself a chance, too. Though if it were up to her…
She’d keep going. Breathing wasn’t a priority.
Arizona crawled her way back up her girlfriend’s body, stealing a deep, heated kiss before rolling off and collapsing onto her back. Her chest heaved in an effort to catch her breath as she lay next to Callie, the two of them combined nothing more than a bunch of sweaty, tangled limbs.
It was great.
“Okay,” Arizona stated through her heavy, panting breaths. “Now I think we’re even.” She grinned breathlessly and turned her head to look at Callie. “You traumatize me with horror stories of the past, and I fuck you so long and hard you have to beg me to stop.”
Callie smiled through her slow, deep breathing. She slowly lolled her head to the side to meet Arizona’s blue gaze with hazy, lidded brown eyes. “If I remember correctly,” she began in that low, patented husk, “I wasn't the only one doing some begging.” She leaned forward with a soft moan to press her lips against the damp, sweaty skin of Arizona's shoulder.
She might be entirely and completely fucking exhausted...but she wasn't dead.
Arizona grinned at Callie. “There might have been a little begging,” she admitted with a deep chuckle. Rolling onto her side, she snuggled right up to Callie and placed another kiss against her lips. “Can’t get enough of you these days. I feel like we’re sixteen again.” Her grin softened into a loving smile. “Losing you for that little while made me remember how much I need you.”
It’s not as if they didn’t have sex before their break up. Because believe her, they did. A lot.
But since reconciling…
Arizona and Callie could barely be alone in a room together without their clothes disappearing into thin air. Especially now that they both desperately needed the distraction from everything else going on in their lives.
“Call me crazy,” Callie began with a low, deep husk, “but I'm pretty much very okay with that.” She smiled as she gazed across the short distance into deep blue eyes. She couldn’t get enough of them.
“I love you,” Callie suddenly whispered again as she scooted a little closer towards the warmth of the other woman. “It's not just the sex. You know that, right?”
Arizona’s smiled widened. “I’d like to think part of it is the sex,” she teased, laughing when Callie smacked her in the stomach. “C’mere.” She snagged Callie around the waist and tightened her hold immediately. “I love you, too. Clothed or unclothed.” The blonde leaned in to place a trail of light kisses along her girlfriend’s neck, soon after pushing herself back on top of the warm body next to her.
Callie’s hands automatically moved to rest on her hips, and Arizona once again kissed her like it was the first and last kiss they’d ever share.
Callie kissed her right back for as long as she could stand not taking a breath, and then suddenly pulled back with another patented husky chuckle. “You do realize I'm on to you, right?”
Arizona smiled innocently. “Whatever do you mean?”
Callie chuckled again before reached up to snag her lover by the back of the neck. “Just kiss me again.”
