Hey Kennedy!

I stumbled over here from artgrind. I'm laughing because I'm a children's book illustrator and I did my last two books for Scholastic on printer paper. (I do use the bright white, ten bucks a ream stuff) It's easy to scan, the tooth is nice and nonsmudgy, and there's tons of it.

"truly epic amounts of shit sketches" is great!

Your art is brilliant! Can't wait to see more!

Another person who likes printer paper! -high five- Too bad that course requires me to purchase large amounts of very expensive professional grade paper.

Thank you!

Well there is something to be said about really nice paper. It makes you work slower and really think out your composition. If you are doing watercolor than god paper as opposed to cheesy paper can mean the difference between a good piece and a mediocre one

The book series that I did for Scholastic comes out in December and is called 'The Search for Vile Things" It's about a Victorian Family that travels the world looking for exotic animals. The first one is about the East Indies, the second one is on Madagascar.

Draw on!

Yeah, that's true. It's just that usually I'm too afraid to even touch good paper, much less sketch or pain on it, ha.

That book sounds rather interesting, even if it's a kid's book. I'll see if it's in the library next year or something, if I remember!
