Absolutely loved it! The dreary sense of Remus' pain, and the way it was all evil-Lucius-sadistically-bothering-Remus until suddenly you revealed why: that he was worried for his son's safety. The jump to Draco's POV was really well-done, too. Especially since Draco's such an innocent, but with all those hints of the adult war - the unrecognised Voldemort, the old enmities - all around him.

MUCH LOVE.

Wheee! I'm glad you liked the Draco scene, because I wibbled like mad over having it ;).

Yeah, Lucius can be his own worst enemy, and judging others by his own standards... I'm happy to hear you liked it!

I find that your more recent stories - those I read, at least - show a greater maturity, a restraint in the situations you handle, and an even greater ability to deal with different viewpoints. I haven't had, from your last few items, the blast of rage and terror that go with Trinity: Brothers or So You Want to Go to Hogwarts, but there is a rounded maturity that appeals to an adult taste. This is excellent.

Thanks, I think :). Granted, I'd rather return to dark and wrenching, but it seems to have slipped away from me a little, at least in HP fandom... Maybe it has to do with the end of canon, or, omg, maturity indeed ;).

Hmm... though this was quiet and not really sinister at all, I liked it. It was so nice to see Remus' perception of the events surrounding Lily and James' death (and Voldemort's, I suppose). Too often is he seen only in the context of his relationship to Harry, and it's wonderful to see him portrayed as an individual. You have this wonderful talent for taking canon events and showing them in a wholly new light, adding dimension and emotion to otherwise sparse tales. This was just beautiful and lovely.

Out of curiosity, does 'motte' mean anything?

Yeah, it's very quiet, isn't it, but it refused to become darker... Glad you liked it anyway.

'Motte' is German for 'moth', and well, I just wanted a house elf name not ending in -y for a change :).
