This is.. incredibly brilliant. I love the Slytherin moral code; not moral bankrupcy, exactly, more like self-preservation and preservation of those they love. And the point about the Aurors was really something I hadn't considered; it really confuses me how people could be so fanatical about overthrowing Voldemort that they'd work with someone like Crouch who'd so obviously lost his moral compass, especially with Lily and James and presumably Neville's parents having a special interest taken in them because of their skills by Dumbledoor. Of course, there's room for debate about whether Dumbledoor's compass was exactly pointing true north throughout the series *g ( ... )

Thanks so very much! I think the point about the Aurors was the bit of info that made the entire fic happen (i.e. the first idea for the story, *g*).

I sort of understand both the Gryffindor and Slytherin mentality (although the Gryff is closer to my heart). Very glad you liked this, and for the lovely feedback! *hugs*
