oh wow. that was stunning and heart-rending.

I don't know that I could pick a favorite part out the whole thing is so good. It's very well done with the flashbacks fleshing out the current bits. It's so sad that they both lost their 'one true love' but wonderful that they still have each other and maybe they can grow into love. Anyway, that's how I'll end it in my head. *g*

You're perfectly allowed to end it that way in your head. I know how it ends in my head, but it'll probably stay between me, myself, and friends who are physically present to pick my brain for it. I may not write more because I don't think I could do a continuation of this story the justice it deserves, but who knows when inspiration will strike?
