Huh. I'd think the difference would be frickin' obvious. CLW cures so much less, and if the party had any prior experience of cure spells I'd expect them to be able to tell the type of Cure spell just from the effect.

The rolls for amount of points restored was within the range of a cure serious. Low end of the range, but still in range.

If any of the rolls had been out of range, they'd have noticed.

So they just thought they'd gotten lousy rolls.

I figured that reflected the fact that their *characters* don't know hit points from leptons.
