Remember what you said about Casira's "Smoke"?

I'm there.

Yup, that about sums it up. I mean, what is a girl to add after such praise from the illustrious Eresse and Gloromeien?! ;o)

Hugs,

Anoriell

*blushes*

You are too kind. Everyone has been too kind! I'm glad you're enjoying it, however... more *ahem* adventures await!

(And on a completely unrelated note, I found a Feredir icon! Ok, I can take credit for neither the Elf nor the icon, but this is how I picture Feredir in my head-- handsome but surly.)

*hugs*

Yup... gotta say, you have him spot on! Glad to have a face to add with my Feredir mental log! Thanks for sharing!

Magnificent, Kenaz. Beautifully crafted. From the terrible weight of guilt that Haldir feels for losing his warriors - so well shown in the change in the elfling's expression - to Galion's accommodating his need for release and Haldir's epiphany and subsequent unfreezing of his heart to the wonderfully hot and tender scene between them, it was all wonderful.

Thank you so much!

I feel like Haldir has kind of come full-circle at this point: He finally understands what it means to be Marchwarden. He viscerally identifies with the lessons Elemmakil tried to teach him in a way he was never able to before, and I think it really took that full measure of understanding what was demanded of him for him to understand how much he needed to have someone to be his strength when he was required to be the strenght of so many others.

Took him long enough, though! Stubborn fool.

Ohhh yes, at last! Finally Haldir sees what he's been missing all these years and accepts it. He deserves his happiness - even dead as he is, Elemmakil is with the one he loves.

It broke my heart to see him deliver the bad news to the families of the dead warriors, what a sad duty! But at least some good came from it!
