I think this is the first time I've seen Atlas presented in a sympathetic light, and I love it. :)

This is lovely, particularly this section: I taught men how to find their way to distant lands by the guidance of the stars, and have seen their adventures as they slowly filled more and more of the blank areas on their maps...

This was marvelously told, and although short, allowed the reader enough background to get a feeling for Atlas' character. I particularly liked, "I have no fondness for your father or the rest of the gods and would not weep to see them gone ..." Very believable.

Most of all though, I applaud you for your ending!
