I'm on the left, and I'll admit that it's easier for me to get annoyed at mistaken or dishonest reasoning from people I disagree with. I'm more likely to yell at the screen when it's Bill O'Reilly than when it's Chris Matthews. It's a character flaw. But sometimes even the arguments on my own side are so bad that I can't sit still for them.

While I agree with everything you said, the Occupy Movement will not in any way change Corporate power in the US.

Corporations have power because they give the illusion of stength in America. This illusion is very important in the way other countries see us. This power is protected by the government in the form of specal interest groups, etc. It's a system that's always been in place, so I don't see it going away in light of the media coverage of the occupations. Not to mention the fatigue of the players and spectators. In some ways the Tea Party movement is more successful. Not successful in changing anything, but giving the Republicans something to remember all the time everytime they run. It colors their campaign speeches, but like the occupy movement, nothing is done.
