Poetry Reading Aloud Recs?

Not sure this is a great idea, but I've resolved to begin each class session this term with a poem read aloud.  Since I teach business law, this is rather a strange thing (you should have seen the looks I got on the first day), but my instincts say it's good for them.  I've brought all my poetry books to the office (was pretty amazed by how many I  ( Read more... )

I'm not sure what made me think of this one, but I suggest "Richard Cory" by Edwin Arlington Robinson.

I think something can work. Tuesdays I need to rush back quickly, and Thursdays I have night class, but we might try something after 2:00 on other days...

I'm sure you've got the high falutin covered, don't forget to have the fun and child-like too some Shel Silverstein, Ogden Nash, Edward Lear or perhaps a few plums.
