I haven't joined the Tweet Life, yet. It was hard enough for me to join LJ and FB and the only reason I did was because my girlfriends from high school practically bullied me into it so I could keep up with their lives without having to resort to email. I have a problem with the voyeuristic culture we seem to have developed in the last decade; perhaps it's a reaction to reality TV ( which I don't like unless it's a thoughtful documentary or a dance competition).

And that's a big concern. Some people share WAY too much information on these sites. For instance, just this morning my wife told me about someone who post an angry message on Facebook that she was going to sue her loser of ex-husband for child support. Really, that's your status update? As Judy said, "TMI!"

These sites work best when people use them to share news items, nostalgia, goofy things, or "Hey, here's something that you'll enjoy/need to know" types of things. But when folks use them as an excuse to air their dirty laundry for a sizable chunk of the world to see, I'll look the other way. I don't need to see "Jon and Kate plus 8" and I don't need to read about someone's private life unless it's a specific request for help. Simply venting and screaming nasty stuff to a global audience doesn't count as a request for help.
