Yes, but then Dark Nation saw one of the flesh eating bunnies and chased after it, and Rufus in all fairness had to put the Strife issue on hold to save his dog from a very unfair fate. *gets shot*

"Where exactly does 'Fair' come from, anyway? Had lots of judges in your family or something?"

"Ah, well, or something, I suppose." A hand raked through his hair in a bit of a nervous gesture. "The name was Fairweather at the beginning, actually. Brought good weather with us or something. My grand-grand-grand-grandfather dropped the 'weather'. Wish he'd dropped the 'fair' instead." A sigh. "So, what about you?"

"Mh? Oh, I don't know where my surname comes from, really, I never asked. As for my name... That's a bit of a family tradition. My mother's name is Storm, her father Squall, his mother Raine."

"That's... freaky. See, I'm the oddball in the family. My dad's Clement, then there's Aunt Sunshine and Grandpa Light. Had I been born female my name would've been Sunny."

A shared incredulous look, and then a grin and an one-arm hug. "My friend, corny as it sounds, I really think that this is Fate."
