The Iantonator cracks me up. I approve of your selection of shows. Will probably snag a few.

And are we on the same wavelength? I spent some time yesterday trying to figure out how to make gifs. I tried to follow instructions I found online but they didn't work. I was trying to use GIMP. What program did you use? dk what the quote is.

GIMP works for short and simple stuff, but i found this thing that will take video clips and make them into a gif all super-easy - just google "movie to a gif"

That's how I found GIMP, googling that. :) Maybe the clip was too long for it? The program didn't seem to work the way the directions said it would. I found something that worked, but left a watermark - you had to pay for a code to get it off.
