Hey everyone and welcome back. Since I showed the new cover photo last time, I put it under the cut for the sake of everyone on my F-list.
Anyway, last time Addison broke up with Tom Wordy after getting together with Kai Leiko, the hottest sim on the freaking planet. Addi and Kai got engaged and then married, and then pregnant with their first. Kai promptly died in a fire.
FUUUUUUU-
Now, let's continue, shall we?
As much as I'm angry and all, I can't help squeeing whenever Addi walks around with her pregnant belly. She's an adorable preggo!
Speaking of pregnancy, THE BABY'S COMING!
It was a baby boy (yet another parallel to my simself's life) who I named Ian Barros. I chose good and brave for his traits. :)
Anyway, when Addi and Ian got home I had them spend all their time bonding and then they became buddies.
Because I cheated their motives to maximum, and kept them that way, Ian's baby day was a lot more fun than when Evan was a baby.
Oh yeah, Ian was only a baby for a day because I wanted to get Addi out exploring again ASAP. So I made them friends and quickly ushered him into the next stage of his life...
...like so.
Anyway, I bet you want some Ian spam! Well, I deliver:
I've gotta say, his baldilocks impede the cuteness but he's still the most adorable toddler I've ever seen. He's a really good mix of Addi and Kai, but definitely got Addi's eyes. :D
(I love the blue on him, but secretly hoped he'd get Kai's gold eyes because they were ~unique.)
Anyway, toddler-training spam!
It is so much easier to train your kids when they're perma-happy! :D
Anyway, Ian became a child only hours after learning all of his toddler skills - need to get Addi back to exploring - and because his toddlerhood wasn't totally perfect (read as: he wasn't a toddler more than a day) he got the athletic trait.
I just don't see how that's punishment.
Oh yeah, and ghost!Kai showed up for his son's bday! :DDDDDDDDD (And he and Addi ~reestablished their love.)
Turns out if you keep the grave of a dead sim on your lot, they can come out every second day between the hours of 11 pm and 4 am, which was around the time Ian was having his birthday. So wheeeeeee! :D
(After Addi finishes her LTW, I'm considering using it to my advantage and making her and Kai have a ghost baby. Oooo~~)
Anyway, here's Ian (who I keep wanting to call Kai), and he's THE MOST PRECIOUS LITTLE KID EVAR OMG.
When he's a teen, I have a feeling I'm going to drool all over his pixellated self. O_O
Anyway, this picture is a little messy but I just thought it was funny that, because both of his parents are celebrities, Ian is also a celebrity (3-star, most likely because that's the middle of Kai's 1-star and Addi's 5).
Anyway, since Ian was now a child, I sent him and Addi on their first ~family vacation.
(It's not really a family vacation, though, because SPOILERS they stayed separated almost the entire time.)
Anyway, I don't know if you remember but the last time they were there Addi didn't quite finish off her opportunity to report back to the guy who'd asked her to convince three locals to keep their lights off at night. So she finished that up, and got her Visa points.
After that, I noticed that there was this "abandoned barn" I hadn't seen the last two times she visited. So, assuming it was most likely a tomb, I had Addi stop by.
Though there were stairs leading to a basement room, it only contained a few treasure chests. I looked around for ages for a secret door or stairs or something, but that really was the end.
At least she got some loot out of it!
Anyway, Addi got this new opportunity from her old pal Biyu to go up to the Scholar's Garden. I didn't know what she was going for, but it turned out to basically be a vision trail leading her to the Temple of Heaven and then to The Dragon's Maw, and then back to Biyu. And apparently Addi is ~the key~ to some big thing.
I feel like Biyu says that to *all* the travellers that happen into the village.
Mother-son bonding time; gotta love it.
Addi and Ian are actually besties, though. :D I'm so proud of myself for making them close!
So after getting this string of opportunities, I was really nervous because the Temple of Heaven was one of the tombs I'd had to give up on (it was the one with the three doors that I couldn't access, two locked and one blocked by a boulder). Nevertheless, I hoped for the best and had Addi accept the opportunity.
Nice.
LMAO.
So it turns out that the monks gave her a key to access one of the doors, thus eliminating my biggest problem. And off she went! Enjoy some exploring spam:
I actually have to explain this part. Addi got to this room with three doors, all locked, and a pool. She went exploring in the pool and was given the opportunity to swim through a tunnel. She did that, and ended up in this separate room that couldn't be accessed any other way but the pool itself. In that room was the monk's treasure.
Back to the picspam!
WOOO~
After giving them the relic they wanted some platinum or something, which didn't take long. And then she had to take the new key she made around to the scholar's garden and the academy, which was also not worth taking pictures of. Moving on...
EXPLORING TIEM!
After getting this opportunity, Addi returned to the tomb and continued forward with the tomb, using her new key. Enjoy some more picspam!
Can you tell I love having mass amounts of photos that don't require captions?
Hah, this was actually really fun. She had to line her statues up to match the ones in the other room. When she did that, it unlocked another door. Hint: the rooms behind the unlocked doors had challenges that eventually unlocked other doors.
This was the last chamber Addi had to do, and it was honestly the most exhaustive maze EVAR.
Like, seriously, EA? Was that necessary?
Anyway, getting to the end of it completed the "annex" portion of the Resolute Fist (I think that's what the tomb is called). That, and she got the monk's treasure from inside this chest. :)
Here's a picture of what I've uncovered of the tomb so far. From the second set of stairs (in the blue room) down to the front of the screen is what Addi had to uncover when she was helping the monks. That's just one HALF of the tomb (or maybe a third, but I'm not totally sure yet). She still has more to go, which is the portion up in the top half of the photo.
I have a feeling this is most likely the largest tomb in WA. Just speculating.
Anyway, after I marvelled at the sheer size of that tomb I sent Addi back to give the monk her treasure. Apparently it's some readings that indicated the real treasure was held by Shen Su (coincidentally one of the guys that Addi's helped out once or twice). So she had to go convince him to give it over.
While she was there, she actually got her at-home opportunity finished as well as her China one by recommending that restaurant from back home, and then begging him to give over his treasure. All went successfully. :D
WOOT~
While this was all going on, Ian was just chilling in the base camp, learning his logic skill. ;)
VISA LEVEL 3!
FUCK YES, WE WON CHINA :D
Anyway, Biyu came back to Addi with a new opportunity, to find out how to get into the Dragon's Cave. She had to go to several people to get this diary read, or something, and it turns out that now she has to go to France to talk to the Nectar guy. You know what this means?
I'M GETTING CLOSE TO FINISHING THE DRAGON'S MAW AND THE BOOBIE TRAP HOUSE!
I read up on this stuff online and found out that the string of opportunities that connects China and France ultimately helps me to explore the two most pain-in-the-ass tombs. WOOOOT :D
So Addi ended her vacation early and took Ian home with her. In two days time, they'll be going to France. :D
Easy opportunity is easy!
I love being invited to parties! :D
Addi did go to the party, which wasn't interesting enough to take pictures of, but when she got there she exploded in a ball of confetti and grew up. :)
That's where I'll leave you for now! But before I go, have some Addi-attempting-mixology spam:
LOLs.
