This weekend has been absolutely beautiful in Ottawa. We've seen a few nice days this past week which had me slightly depressed as I was mostly at work this week. This weekend has made up for it, however, ten times over. Maybe it's because I was the first daughter and grand-daughter and therefore was never forced to take hand-me-downs but I really love when people pass off old clothes or accessories to me now. Heath Ledger won, and I cried. During the commercials before they presented the award, my mom was so adamant that she wasn't going to cry and, honestly, I didn't think she would. As soon as his family got onto the stage, she was struggling to hold back those tears. His family was beautiful and so gracious though I wish Michelle was there. Oh well. ( Read more... )

Dustin Lance Black. Makes me wish I was a gay man so I could date/mate with him. Seriously though, this was a beautiful speech and I'm so glad he won.

Matt showed me this video yesterday. It was a scene filmed for Michael Moore's documentary, Sicko, about healthcare systems around the world and how it sucks in the States. This scene didn't make it into the film because Moore didn't think anyone would believe it.
