This is a multi-chaptered story that starts in Season 4. Everything is canon up to 4.10, Crash Into Me, Part II. The first part of the story picks up at the end of that episode and everything beyond that is AU.

You are so very welcome...in fact, you're making me blush! I love that you have been stalking my LJ...what a huge compliment! It's so funny that you've had such a light week and my week has been hell on wheels, lol! I am so glad to finally get this posted and off my to do list because it means I have more room on my plate to continue this one and work on the Thanksgiving story...plus maybe a post-ep for tonight ( ... )

I can't wait to discover what's in store for them. I did always want more Lexie/Mark interaction in season 4 but of course nothing substantial came until later...Grey's could have banked on them earlier. :)

I totally agree...I thought this episode could have been a starting point for them, so if the writers won't go there...I will :)

What a great start. As I've told Katie, I hate WIPs because I'm always so eager to get the next chapter. I hate waiting. I am not the patient kind of gal. Soooo, I hope you like to update fast because I have no doubt that I will be stalking your journal waiting for an update.

Now that I'm finished threatening you, let me just say that I love Mark & Lexie's voices in this. You have captured their extreme loneliness and made me feel it with them. You have captured my attention with wanting to read how he teaches her. And you have me hoping that these two lost and lonely souls find comfort in each other, both as friends and eventually as lovers.

Great job!

I'm the same way about WIPs, I'm constantly stalking Katie's LJ looking for updates. I'm not terribly patient either, so I will try to update the chapters as often as possible to be sensitive to this particular issue :) And as long as you're stalking my LJ, I'm going to take that as a compliment!

What an awesome compliment about Mark and Lexie's voices. I work very hard on getting their voices just right so that is a huge compliment and I am so humbled by that! I have some interesting stuff in store for our favorite couple, hopefully you'll think so too!
