I was just reading about the Artist this morning and how a theater had to refund a bunch of tickets because the audience didn't realize it was a silent film...and complained loudly during the show. Sheesh. Glad to get your input--sounds like one to see.

It's gray and wet over on this side of the country, and I'm just starting to plan for another Jersey shore week with my sisters in June! Do you have any Brigantine writing retreats planned?

You have a silly cat--perhaps she's practicing for the circus?

The Artist was fabulous. There are actually a few parts with actual sound (not just a soundtrack), but it's brilliant. In many ways it's a silent-film version of Singing in the Rain (some of the story line is similar, although this film gets darker in places than the Gene Kelly film).

No Brigantine retreats in the offing - we didn't get there in the fall, and I'm not sure what this year will hold, but I sure hope you get to the Jersey shore again - perhaps we can actually meet up this time?

And you might be onto something with the circus idea . . .

Puru does that same thing! I've never had a cat so fascinated with knocking things off of tables and desks... We've lost some pens and USB drives that way...of course, now I'm finding them while moving!

Pens, chapsticks, USB drives, small tchotchkes, emery boards, tissue boxes, remotes . . . you name it, she'll pretty much try to knock it down.

Glad to hear you're finding some of your missing items - especially those USB drives!

Sumi obviously wants to be a scribe, whereas Kismet is more interested in WORLD DOMINATION! Or, you know, science.

WHY ARE YOU SICK AGAIN?! This should simply not be allowed. Your dog should not be allowed to be ill again, either. I miss you too - and, despite your current sad situation (illnesses), I still believe this will be a good year for you, too. Heck - last year was one of my best years ever, despite getting a divorce and having the worst RA flare I've had since my diagnosis 10 years ago. (*spins around like Buddy the Elf, hollering "I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it!")

You are very wise in the ways of the (cat) world.
