More later today, when I've slept and such, but OH MY GOD WAS THIS MOVIE INTENSE AND WONDERFUL!

The girlies and I saw a midnight (12:06 a.m.) 2-D showing, and we luuuuurved it. There was much crying and more laughter than we expected and a fair amount of clapping and cheering.

And now, to bed.

Oh, Terri, I sure hope you get to see it very, very soon. You are going to SQUEE! And want to see it a second time, of course. M is there now with a friend; S is going again soon as well. I will likely head off to see it once more ere it departs theatres. SO great!

We saw it, also. Fabulous!

Our audience laughed, too, at moments I didn't want them to laugh. We'll have to discuss.

Not sure if this was one of them, but I thought that the moment involving Voldemort and Malfoy hugging was actually laughable - it was so very, hilariously awkward, and good tension break, since most of the film was TENSION TENSION TENSION TENSION all the way through.

That was one of them. I think you're right about it being meant as a tension break and that is part of what I didn't like. It pulled me out.

I saw something on Tumblr that read, "How awkward was that hug, on a scale of 1 to Lord Voldemort?" I chuckled.

Glad you enjoyed it. U2 concert was AWESOME. Thought of you just as I was getting in bed at 1 am. "Kelly's watching HP right now," I told P.

Our audience cheered at all of the best parts and there was a collective "YES!!!" that hissed through the theater when one important part, the inclusion of which was not certain, began.

I saw it in 3D and don't think the film gained much from it. The experience was lack-luster compared to movies that were filmed with the intention of being shown in 3D. Still, it was pretty, and the round Potter-style 3D glasses were a nice touch.

I believe you are referring to a bit involving a cat fight, yes? OH THE "YESSES" that echoed through the theatre at that point!
