A bit of Tintern Abbey by William Wordsworth

I spent about half an hour yesterday looking through my computer files for an article I'd written relating to the quote from Chapter 27 of Pride & Prejudice, "what are men to rocks and mountains?", only to come up empty. Good old Tintern Abbey. I wrote a massive paper on this once, and I don't think I've looked at it since...! It is really beautiful, though.

It can be daunting because it's so long, but Austen thought nothing of reading long poems - all that Scott and Byron she liked was long, too.

Oh, I'm happy to think that one of my favorite poems was beloved by Jane Austen. And Tanita, too, I see. I'm feeling the rocks and mountains thing lately, so thanks for the poetic context. Though I like you, too, of course!

I developed a massive crush on Wordsworth in high school, from which I've never fully recovered. Glad to know you love Tintern Abbey so much!

My girls both adore that movie, which we own. Come to think of it, I haven't watched it. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend?
