I know, I missed a day. Here. Have two:

Thursday, 9/9Wally's visit to the vet yesterday went well. He saw the veterinary neurologist, Dr. Speciale, who is still ab-fab, in my opinion. Good news! Except for the expense, I'm so sorry about that. We were shocked at the cost early this year when our Mollycat spent the night at the animal hospital for a vestibular "event." Then of course two follow-up vet visits. Still we haven't gone for the pet medical insurance, but maybe we should. We're not about to let them suffer. (We now have two cats!)

Katie (our older dog) had a vestibular event a few weeks ago. She didn't stay overnight, but the vet visit and antibiotics (they suspected an ear infection might be in play) totalled over $200, which is a drop in Wally's bucket this past week. We will be cutting as many costs as possible for several months to try to pay it off.

The expense is going to mean quite a lot of belt-tightening for us, I'm afraid. But we're glad he's improving.
