Another Nor'easter . . .

. . . and more bombogenesis. This one should only give us a foot or so of snow. It was clever to wait until we'd gotten rid of the snow off our yards (it washed away in yesterday's persistent rain), but as the piles along the edges of streets and in parking lots are still there, I'm not sure it will help the ploughs at all!

One of the worst problems of getting tons of snow is figuring out where to put it when it's already mountainous on each side of your driveway. We killed our hedges one year that way. Nowhere else to put the stuff.

"Only a foot of snow." Eek!

We've been slammed this winter, too. Yesterday was odd. Kids had off but it didn't amount to much. Off today and it's piling up. The wind is wicked. Stay warm!

Our schools stayed open yesterday, in an attempt not to wrack up any more snow days than absolutely necessary, and it proved to be a good call - the snow didn't start to stick on the roadways until about 7 p.m. or so. Closed today, though. Guess we have to shovel a bit!
