The Snowstorm by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Given the near-blizzard conditions outside - lovely large flakes blowing nearly sideways, piling atop fenceposts and blowing the birds about as they try to light on the feeder - I thought this poem was pretty much perfect for today.

The poor birds (and squirrels) were unable to access our bird feeder.

That is sad. I was happy the feeders had seed in them, but a bit sad that the smaller feeder ran low so quickly.

I like the poem, but PICS! I want pics of your own frolic architecture! More than 20 inches?! I need a pic of that.

I'll see what I can do - it's sunny out today, so the sun glare makes successful photography unlikely. Our final tally in my town was apparently 27.3" - wild!
