We got this last fall and William and I have read it twice now. I know it's one he'll revisit--in part because it's short and in part because it's such a great story.

Definitely middlegrade, definitely wonderful. I so enjoyed the way the gods' characters came through.

Neil Gaiman sure does like him some Norse gods! Aside from his writing American Gods, he apparently wished that he had written Diana Wynne Jones' Eight Days of Luke (which, by the way, you might like, in the vein of "kids rescuing Norse gods").
