Autumn poetry primer, part 3

Today, a poem by Louise Glück. Glück writes quite a lot of seasonal poetry, and has written an extensive amount set in the fall. This one comes from her recent release, A Village Life, and is called "Harvest". I really liked the bit in the third stanza about the vegetables that nobody wants, like pumpkins.

Now I'm afraid to eat Simon's tomatoes - will they be black and mouldy on the inside? Maybe I should just fry up the green ones.
