One of the reviews I read ahead of time said it was perhaps a little too emotianally restrained, and I was baffled by this assessment when I saw it, as it is *clear* that there is all kinds of passion roiling underneath the proper Regency reserve. The acting is wonderful; Abbie Cornish, in particular, does a beautiful job. And on a speciifically Jane Campion-related note, I thought it was worlds better than The Piano - sad and sweet and beautiful.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing it. And I've heard fantastic things about Abbie Cornish - can't wait!
